On Wednesday, 4-13-16 at approximately 2027 Hrs. Exeter Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on an orange Dodge Neon, on Kaweah at Chestnut. The stop was for failure to stop for a red traffic control signal light on Kaweah at Rocky Hill Dr. The driver, Angelica Marie Abila, Date of Birth 11-16-95, 20 years of age, 5’0” 95 lbs., black hair and brown eyes, of Visalia, was found to be operating the vehicle while unlicensed, a misdemeanor California vehicle code violation. Abila was also found to be allowing a passenger to possess and consume an open container of alcohol while driving. A computer check with Tulare County Sheriff Dispatch revealed an active felony warrant for Abila’s arrest, issued out of the Kings County Superior Court, Hanford Division, for drug related charges. The warrant was confirmed as active and was served.
Abila was placed under arrest for the confirmed warrant and for the fresh misdemeanor charges and was transported to the Exeter Police Department, where she was processed and booked accordingly, without incident. Abila was subsequently released on her signed promise to appear (Citation).
On 4-13-2016, Officers contacted Kenneth Evrett (WMA, 8-23-69, 46 YOA, 5-11, 187, blond, brown) in the area of Chestnut and “D” Street. Evrett was found to have two active warrants for his arrest. He was arrested and later released with an agreement to appear.
On Thursday, 4-14-16 at approximately 2206 Hrs. Exeter Officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on Kaweah at Chestnut for a violation of failure to dim bright head lights for on coming vehicles and vehicles being followed. Contact was made with the driver, Robyn Merritt, Date of Birth 9-1-82, 5’4”, 297 Lbs., brown eyes and brown hair, out of Tulare California. She was found to be operating the vehicle while her driver’s license was suspended and having knowledge to that affect. Merritt placed under arrest for this misdemeanor vehicle code violation and was subsequently released at the scene on her signed promise to appear. Additional charges were failure to dim her head lights, expired vehicle registration and not providing proof of auto insurance when requested by an officer. Merritt’s vehicle, a 2001 Dodge Intrepid, was impounded for 30 days pursuant to California law and Exeter Police Department policy.
On Sunday, 04-17-2016, Officers with the Exeter Police Department arrested Armindo Calouro Jr 07-24-72 for an active felony warrant for his arrest. Calouro was booked into the Tulare County Pre Trial Detention Facility.
On 04-16-2016, Officers with the Exeter Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Firebaugh and Kaweah. Throughout the course of their investigation, Officers discovered the driver, Silvano Crus-Hernandez, was operating a motor vehicle without a license. Hernandez was issued a citation and his vehicle was towed.
On 04-15-2016, Officers with the Exeter Police Department contacted Joshua Gilbert at a residence in the 500 block of Village Street. Dispatch advised that Gilbert had an active warrant for his arrest and was later released from the Exeter Police Department with an Agreement to Appear form.
On 4-18-2016, Officers responded to the 100 block of S D Street for the report of a burglary. Officers discovered several mail boxes had been accessed without the consent of the owners. This case is currently under investigation.
On 04/18/2016 Exeter Police Officers went to the 300 block of North Kaweah to check the welfare of a resident. A report was taken regarding suspect elder abuse. This case is still under investigation.
On 04/18/2016 Exeter police officers went the 1400 block of Vine Drive for an theft investigation. A motorized toy quad was reported stolen. This case is still under investigation.
On Monday, 4/18/2016, at approximately 2047 hours Exeter PD units stopped a vehicle in the area of Palm and G Street in Exeter for speeding and a mechanical violation. The driver was found to have a suspended license and his vehicle was subsequently impounded. The driver was issued a citation and was released.

On 4-19-2016, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Belmont and Woods. The driver of the vehicle Eva Zavala, 6-8-74, 41 YOA, was found to be driving on a suspended / revoked license. She was arrested and later released with a citation. Her vehicle was towed and stored for 30 days.
On 4-19-2016, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Crespi and Buena Vista. The driver of the vehicle (Alberto Barrera 3-28-98, was found to be driving without a driver’s license. He was arrested and later released with a citation. His vehicle was towed and stored for 30 days.
On 04/21/16 a residential burglary was reported in the 600 block of W. Vine. No suspects have been positively identified and the case is currently under investigation.

On 04/22/2016 Exeter Police Officers took a report of a stolen identity. This case is still under investigation.
On 4-23-16 around 1035 Jose Alcala 12-14-1978, was located in the passenger seat of a vehicle during a traffic stop in the area of Orange and Firebaugh. Jose was found to have a misdemeanor warrant and booked into county jail.
